I learned awesome driving skills and had fun doing it. You always kept me on my toes in-car and the in-class was not boring at all like I had heard from other people who took driver's ed. What I took away from that class has helped me evade 3 collisions so far due to other idiots on the road. I recommend the driving school to all my friends.

Gerry's driving school is an excellent school, one I would reccomend to all, in while in class , he shows you stuff you NEED to see, not stuff you WANT to see.. He shows and tells you driving like it is.

well Gerry it has been about 10 years since you taught me how to drive. It wasn't even the driving school yet! I believe you were stop n go at the time! I really enjoyed the learning experience, you were patient but very good at ensuring I knew the rules of the road! I can only hope that you continue to do what you are great at for many more teenagers and years to come! Thanks so much

Gerry's course pays for itself right away. As a young male driver, as soon as I provided my insurance company with the proof it needed that I had completed the course, I had already saved more money than I had paid to attend this school.

TheDrivingSchool.ca was a great learning experience combining interesting lessons with information essential for becoming a safe driver. The program is both affordable and reliable, standing behind their lessons with in-car cameras so that they can be reviewed later. The passenger-seat brake and gas pedal are also helpful, providing an extra safety precaution just in case something happens to go wrong. Furthermore, the instructors provide a safe environment for students by having awesome personalities and really making a connection with their students.

The training I did was awesome. I originally was'nt going to take a driving school. However, I felt it was a good idea to prepare me for driving "reality". Also, my first lesson with Gerry really indicated I needed to be more of a safe and responsible driver. I had a great time, and learned a lot during this course. Thank you so much! :)

I really enjoyed my time with thedrivingschool.ca. The in class was taught in a unique way and i really liked it, I found that the class went by really fast and was far from boring. My in-car instructor helped me become a better driver. I really enjoyed being her student. I also liked how organized everything was, my lessons were planned ahead of time and she was always on time. my overall experience was awesome and i recommend thedrivingschool.ca to anyone that wants/needs driving school!

The drivingschool.ca was great all around. Both the in class and in car were professional and I learned a lot. I would absolutely recommend the Driving School.ca to anyone else. Even though they are cheap in price, they are definitely NOT cheap in quality of driver training. All in all, i'd give them a 6 out of 5.

Never expected driving school to be so interactive in class, personable to each student, and went above and beyond to teach about driving "in the real world" and not just text book examples.

My in-car instructor was absolutely incredible. I had told him at the beginning of our in car lessons that I was pretty nervous about driving due to some collisions that had happened a few years ago, and that was why I'd waited 12 years to learn to drive. I felt very safe with him in the car guiding me through the steps I needed to learn how to be the safest driver I could be.

thedrivingschool.ca has a much different approach to driver education than other schools. Quite simply, it is the perfect balance of fun and quality. Unlike traditional driving schools that let you text in class, drive vehicles that are pulled off the road for being unsafe, or drive while the instructor gets some shut eye, (not saying any names), thedrivingschool.ca takes a no-BS, yet fun approach to learning how to drive.

I am so glad I enrolled myself with the Drivingschool.ca. I heard from friends about other driving schools that it was not worth the time or money. However, I am so happy with my decision! Gerry was straightforward and practical, and always explained concepts about rules of the road. He made the in class experience go by super fast and I actually enjoyed being a part of his interactive classroom. It was not just some teacher getting paid to lecture you, but a friendly figure speaking with you in a dialogue so that you could better understand the rules of the road and why they are the way they are.

When I first started taking driving lessons I was so clueless I didn't even know which pedal was the gas and which was the break. I took a couple of lessons and then I had a baby so I went into a hiatus for about 6 months. When I was ready to start taking lessons again Gerry was very accommodating, working around my busy schedule. He's a very patient and helpful instructor. I would recommend TheDrivingSchool.ca to anyone that really wants to learn how to drive and/or improve their skills to feel safer on the road.

Going into driving school I thought it would be super boring, but Gerry made it really fun! I really liked the teaching methods and even now with my G2 I can still hear Gerry saying "spacing, big spaces..." I would most definitely recommend thedrivingschool.ca to anyone because I believe that this school really teaches you to drive responsibly and cautiously. Thanks! :)

First of all, the in-class training, while being long, and very early in the morning, was at least something I could get through. Gerry's humour and straight forward attitude with the students was something to keep everyone involved engaged. He knew the right times to joke around with the students to keep things light, and when to be serious to allow students to take the full impact of the seriousness of certain situations.

I feel a lot more confident after going to this driving school, they make you realize and think about what you're doing wrong. I also liked how Gerry would tell me what areas I needed to improve on and it felt like he actually cared about my progress. My friends from other driving schools said it felt like their instructors just wanted them to be done. The in-class I also found interesting and kept me watching, especially the videos which actually made you think.

The driving school is the best one in town! I was very nervous about driving due to never having anyone to bring me practicing before i signed up and having my bestfriend and her family die in a car collision. The driving school really helped me gain the skills and confidence I needed to become a great driver. I never thought i'd be able to drive like this and passed my road test with ease. Gerry keeps the classes fun and his instructors really care about you and will work hard to make sure you suceed in driving and gain the skills you need to be a safe driver. Thank you so much Gerry and Kyle. I have been and will continue to recommend the driving school to anyone and everyone!

I went to the very first course ever offered by www.thedrivingschool.ca, got my G2, got my first car, got my G a year later and didn't have any problems. In November (2012) I was driving down Dawson Road, toward Mapleward going around the big corner when a truck coming from the opposite direction came into my lane, almost running me off the road. As it all happened very quickly I found it amazing that my mind flashed back to "check your rear view mirror before hitting the breaks", which when I did, there was a vehicle close behind me. I had to swerve into the ditch and back onto the road to avoid an accident (there's about 4 feet of soft shoulder out there and then a drop off) and I knew on the soft shoulder I wouldn't be able to hit the breaks either which is why I swerved back onto the road before finally slowing down and pulling over. Everything I used in that moment was things I learned in Driving School that I didn't even remember learning! It probably saved my life not only to remember not to slam on the breaks but to have the confidence to maneuver around the other vehicle and pull over when it was finally safe.

I really enjoyed the lessons. I learned a lot of things that my parents simply forgot to mention. I also became much more comfortable on the roads. In my opinion, the highway lesson was the most helpful to me, especially in terms of being comfortable with speeds and acceleration/deceleration lanes. As far as in class, there were many little bits of information that I was able to implement in my driving immediately without even beginning the in car lessons. It was also much more inter! esting t han I expected. Overall, well worth the effort, money, and time.

Jason was AWESOME! One of the best instructors I've seen. I give a big thanks to Jason and you, Gerry, for improving my driving skills; also have picked up more skills along the way and still improving. Always room for improvement! I honestly cannot say anything bad about TheDrivingSchool. I was expecting it to be "hard-core" and I was right lol, but that is a good thing. Preparing people (mostly teens) to be safe on the road. I believe if every adolescent/young adult took this! course there would be less accidents, injuries, and even deaths. Also to push on retaking this course 20yrs or so down the road to do as a refresher. Anyways, that is all I have to say, for now lol. I wish everyone the best of luck in the future!

I had such a great experience with this school. I came out with broad knowledge regarding rules of the road and the instructors always made me feel relaxed. They are great people to work with and I think they should keep teaching youth drivers education because Thunder Bay will have safer roads when users of the road have knowledge from The Driving School. Thanks for everything guys!

I enjoyed my in-car training. He was very helpful with teaching me how to drive correctly and with precaution, also he was patient with my mistakes and taught me to correct them. I definitely noticed a big difference from when I first drove in his car to the last time, I've gained a lot of knowledge since then. If you're looking for a good driving school this is the one to take!

It's reassuring to know that when you have in-car lessons with Gerry your chances of crashing and burning decrease significantly. You are pretty much guaranteed to pass your G1 and G2 exit tests on the first try, and to top it all off he's the cheapest in town. Think of www.TheDrivingSchool.ca as the Rosetta Stone of driving schools. Sure he has a bit of an attitude, but that's a good thing when you want a no bullshit, straight to the point driving education. Plus, to top it all off he owns some pretty attractive vehicles in comparison to the competition.

TheDrivingSchool.ca is by far the best course offered in town. I have heard many horror stories about other schools in town, but not a single one about Gerry's. My in-class hours were a good experience and were not boring. Gerry really prepares you for the real world in the in-class lessons with his many videos and true stories about distracted/impaired driving. I will certainly not be missing that air horn though! There is a video floating around out there in cyberspace somewhere! The in-car lessons are a blast. I was fortunate enough to have Gerry as my instructor for those as well. He was always on time. He helped me to become a more confident driver by being funny and laid back, but also being firm and serious when necessary. Gerry was always present in the lesson and was never texting or making phone calls. Gerry really prepared me for the road and I am very thankful for that. He will review things with you if you need him to and is very patient. He will tell you how to fix and improve your mistakes and, he will not let you go as a student until he is confident you will be safe on the road and have learned the necessary skills. My in car lessons have equipped me with the skills that I need to feel more safe and comfortable on the road. I feel as if we covered almost everything there is to cover in the in-car lessons and I am a much more educated and defensive driver because of it. Gerry even took me to the gas station and taught me how to pump gas... BONUS!! I haven't heard of any other driving schools who do that. I will definitely be recommending TheDrivingSchool.ca to everyone I know. Thanks so much Gerry :)

I quickly realized that teaching my daughter to drive was going to give me a heart attack and nervous breakdown. I called Gerry. I honestly thought he would be dead with in the week. We all survived and what amazed me most is how great of a driver she turned out to be. I can ride with her and be completely relaxed, I never thought that would ever happen. Three years later I enrolled my son, I had complete trust and faith in thedrivingschool.ca. The instructors have such a great relationship with the kids, every one of them. The parents go on at least one in car lesson, its a great learning experience for both child and parent. You cant go wrong with this school!

This has to be the BEST driving school ever! I learned how to be a safe and common sense driver. I was unfortunately at "Young driver's" Big mistake! because all my instructor would do is bring me down and make me hate driving. So one day I talked to one of my friend shanty about driving school's and she recommended "thedrivingschool" big difference because I never fell asleep in his class especially with the annoying air horn. Gerry contacted me personally himself to explain about his school and I was immediately interested. I signed up for his next course and now I'm certified as a safer driver and I'm feeling quite accomplished. Thanks so much Gerry! this driving school rocks because you built it from the bottom up.

Drivers training was honestly the hardest thing I've ever done. I put off going for my beginners license for quite some time. As time went on, the anxiety and fear towards driving grew. Many young people were dying in car accidents and it terrified me. Finally I got the courage to take driving school and go for my G2 and it was the best decision ever.

One of my friends went to TheDrivingSchool. I think that it should be a requirement of all new drivers to have to attend a driving school. It helps the potential driver to understand the responsibility that they are endeavoring to get. Personally, I think that people that don't attend a driving school are usually worse drivers (although I admit I don't have any data with which to back that up).
